BNY is seeking a Vice President, Tax Compliance Quality Assurance (TCQA) to lead product development for the U.S. Tax Form W-8/W-9 Documentation Tool, improve business processes, and manage projects within the Corporate Tax team.

Requirements

  • Familiarity with project management methodologies including Agile and Waterfall.
  • Experience leading requirement gathering sessions, taking meeting notes and documenting any new requirements from those sessions.
  • Strong analytical skills to research data, inform business and operations, and resolve data feed issues to improve product quality and performance
  • Creating project plans, process flows, and leading meetings and discussions with different stakeholders and lines of business
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification and/or Prince2 certification
  • Tax Information Reporting and Withholding (e.g., 1446f, FATCA, NRA, BUW, 8966 Reporting)
  • IRS Tax forms, due diligence, and various tax onboarding, withholding reporting requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Lead product development for U.S. Tax Form W-8/W-9 Documentation Tool.
  • Draft business requirements, functional documents, and technical user stories.
  • Work closely with team members to develop test plans and create detailed test cases.
  • Assist with User Acceptance Testing and defect management.
  • Develop user manuals/documentation and provide training to stakeholders using the U.S. Tax Form W-8/W-9 Documentation Tool.
  • Assist with the onboarding and user provisioning of new clients to the U.S. Tax Form W-8/W-9 Documentation Tool.
  • Conduct independent reviews of business processes, data quality issues, and propose process improvements.

  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate business and technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • 5 to 7+ years of relevant experience within financial services
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
