BNY is seeking a highly skilled UX Designer to join their Loans Platform team to provide guidance and technical expertise for complex user experience activities, collaborating with product and development teams to create user personas and design artifacts.

Requirements

• 7-9 years of experience in UX design, with a focus on user research, interactive design, and visual design.
• Proficiency in Figma and other UX design tools.
• Experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct user research and testing to gather insights and inform design decisions.
• Create and review documentation of research findings for presentation to product and development teams.
• Develop and modify user personas based on research findings.
• Participate in the creation of concepts, information architecture, user interface designs, wireframes, storyboards, prototypes, and specifications.
• Utilize Figma for UX design tasks, demonstrating expertise and proficiency.
• Synthesize information across multiple factors to inform design decisions.
• Advocate for the user experience across the firm.

Other

• Bachelor’s degree in psychology, user experience, design, human-computer interaction, or a related discipline; advanced degree preferred.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to understand and advocate for different perspectives.
• Ability to work independently and exercise discretion under limited supervision.
• Build effective relationships with team members and cross-functional teams.
• Apply company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues.
