Design, implement, and manage VMware Horizon VDI environments to ensure seamless performance, scalability, and security while collaborating with cross-functional IT teams to meet business needs.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience architecting, designing, and managing VMware environments
- Experience with VMware Horizon solutions or VDI technologies
- Experience with VDI desktop image build and deployment technologies
- Experience writing CMD scripts, VB scripting, Bash, or PowerShell
- Knowledge of Windows server and desktop environments, including Windows 10 and Windows Server 2012 or 2016, and troubleshooting with VMware Horizon and Windows OS
- Ability to configure and maintain group policies
- Experience with VMware ESXi or VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF)
Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage the VDI VMware Horizon environments.
- Assist customers with issues, troubleshoot systems, and resolve repair tickets.
- Optimize VDI performance by monitoring resource utilization and implementing best practices for high availability and scalability.
- Configure and manage VDI infrastructure components, including hypervisors, virtual machines, and storage.
- Ensure the security of VDI environments through access controls, patch management, and endpoint protection solutions.
- Automate routine tasks and deployments using scripting languages such as PowerShell.
- Support VDI users by diagnosing and resolving technical issues and providing training as needed.
