Requirements
- 6+ years of experience with designing, configuring and maintaining VMware environments to ensure availability, reliability, and performance
- 6+ years of experience with installing, configuring, and managing VMware vSphere, vCenter, NSX, and VSAN
- 2+ years of experience with PowerShell scripting for automation and tool development
- Experience with Rubrik in Windows Server-based enterprise environments
- Experience with data protection
- DoD 8570.11 IAT Level II Certification such as CompTIA Security+ CE, CCNA‑Security, GSEC, or SSCP Certification
- Secret clearance
Responsibilities
- Architect, configure, and maintain VMware infrastructure to ensure high availability, reliability, and performance across virtualized systems
- Deploy, configure, and manage core VMware technologies such as vSphere, vCenter, VSAN, NSX, and other related products
- Work collaboratively with IT team members to troubleshoot, resolve, and prevent issues within the virtualization environment
- Create, update, and maintain comprehensive documentation for virtualization infrastructure, including system configurations and procedures
- Design and implement disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity strategies to ensure data integrity and system resilience
- Plan, test, and execute upgrades and patching for VMware infrastructure to maintain security and performance
- Continuously monitor virtual infrastructure health, proactively identifying areas for tuning and performance enhancement

- HS diploma or GED
- Ability to obtain a DoD 8570.11 IAT Level II Certification within 30 days of hire date
