The Virtual Resettlement Line provides refugees and community partners with a centralized point of contact to access timely information, guidance, and referrals for all ORR eligible populations. By offering real-time support through phone and digital platforms, the line helps ensure that clients can connect with critical resettlement services, receive interpretation assistance, and get answers to urgent questions no matter their location.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and comfort learning new digital platforms.
Responsibilities
- Assist with maintaining accurate case notes
- responding to direct client assistance needs
- providing interpretation and translation support as required
- contribute to project administration
- help ensure timely communication and coordination across the Virtual Services team
- helping respond to inquiries, tracking client requests, and escalating urgent cases when needed
- Assist with the development of resource guides, FAQs, and communication materials to better inform clients and community partners about available services
Other
- Minimum 3 months starting in September, 20 hours per week
- Fluency in Dari and/or Pashto; multilingual skills mandatory.
- Ability to maintain and respect client’s confidentiality
- This is an unpaid internship position. No financial compensation, including compensation for relocation, is available.
