EMCOR Construction Services (ECS) needs to design, develop, and maintain reports, dashboards, and analytics solutions to support business operations across the organization, translating business needs into actionable insights through SSRS, Power BI, and SQL-based reporting tools.
Requirements
- Experience developing in SSRS and Power BI required; Crystal Reports experience preferred.
- Hands on experience with SQL Server databases, views and stored procedures required.
- Experience with Viewpoint Vista is required
- Proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server, SSRS, Power BI, and Crystal Reports.
- Advanced SQL and SSRS report design skills, including subqueries, joins, and parameter-driven reporting.
- Strong Power BI experience in data modeling (DAX, Power Query), visualization, and deployment.
- Experience with Trimble Analytics or Power BI Service integrations is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain SSRS and Power BI reports and dashboards integrated with the ERP database Vista by Viewpoint.
- Collaborate with business users and the Vista Support Manager to define reporting requirements and deliver analytics that align with business objectives.
- Manage report-related support tickets from intake to resolution, collaborating directly with end users to gather requirements, define report scope, and ensure business needs are fully understood.
- Maintain standardized report packages, SQL objects, shared data sets used across operating companies.
- Manage version control and deployment through and established change control process using GitHub to ensure consistency across environments.
- Write and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and views to support data extraction and reporting.
- Enhance and support existing Crystal Reports, migrating reporting needs to SSRS and Power BI where appropriate.
Other
- 5 - 10 years of experience in report development or data analytics, preferably in the construction industry.
- Working knowledge of the construction industry, operations management, and safety practices a plus
- Understanding of construction accounting and job cost management.
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical users.
- Must demonstrate integrity, honesty, professionalism, and appropriate concern regarding dissemination of sensitive and confidential information.
