Safelite is seeking a visionary Vice President of Digital Technology to lead the transformation of our enterprise application ecosystem, build and scale a world-class technology culture that drives innovation, growth, and long-term success.
Requirements
- 10+ years of progressive experience in software/application development, with at least 5 years in senior leadership.
- Proven track record of leading large-scale modernization and transformation initiatives.
- Migrated to cloud, and built products—not just maintained them.
- Deep expertise in agile methodologies, CI/CD, cloud-native development, and enterprise architecture.
- Hands-on experience with AWS, Salesforce, and open source technologies.
- You grew up in application development—not just project management or infrastructure.
- We’re looking for someone who gets excited about open source releases and has strong opinions about which programming language is best (and isn’t afraid to debate it at lunch).
Responsibilities
- Define and execute a bold application development strategy aligned with enterprise goals and digital transformation initiatives.
- Lead the charge to sunset legacy systems and build the future.
- Champion modernization efforts including cloud migration (AWS preferred, but GCP/Azure valued), microservices architecture, and DevOps practices.
- Own the full technology stack—from programming languages to cloud platforms, enterprise architecture, and SaaS product leadership.
- Manage both custom-built and third-party applications, ensuring security, compliance, and architectural standards
- Attract, retain, and develop top engineering talent.
- Optimize work processes and build effective teams that thrive on results, accountability, and customer focus
