The company is looking to build credit risk and fraud models from the ground up and needs a data science leader to spearhead the development and implementation of advanced analytics and predictive modeling initiatives to drive business impact in a high-growth financial services organization.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in data science, with proven experience building and deploying predictive models in financial services.
  • 2-5+ years of leadership experience building and scaling high-performing data science teams.
  • Deep understanding of credit risk modeling, fraud detection, and financial regulatory requirements.
  • Strong technical skills including advanced SQL, Python, and statistical modeling techniques.
  • Proven ability to deliver measurable business impact through data-driven solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and deployment of credit risk, fraud, and predictive models for new and existing financial products.
  • Oversee the end-to-end model lifecycle, including design, validation, deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure robust model governance, documentation, and adherence to regulatory standards.
  • Mentor and grow a team of data scientists and analysts, providing technical guidance, career development, and performance feedback.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, technology, and data, to integrate data science solutions seamlessly.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies to maintain a competitive edge in analytics capabilities.
