Pathward is looking to solve the business problem of growing its acquiring strategy for its enablement sponsorship business by leading the strategy for merchant acquiring sponsorship, ATM acquiring and sponsorship services, and faster payments capabilities. This involves driving scalable growth through partnerships, technology integration, and risk-aware innovation.

Requirements

  • 10+ years in payments, with extensive experience in acquiring, sponsor banking, fintech enablement, or BaaS banks.
  • Deep knowledge of Visa/Mastercard acquiring rules, ATM sponsorship models, and real-time/faster payment solutions.
  • Proven track record in managing acquiring relationships, partner programs, and network compliance.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory and operational requirements for sponsor banks (e.g., OCC, BSA/AML, etc.).
  • Deep understanding of card network rules and compliance (Visa, Mastercard, etc.) related to acquiring.
  • Experience working with the broad acquiring ecosystem including ISOs, payment processors, payment facilitators, etc.
  • Strong knowledge of interchange, settlement, chargeback, and risk management in acquiring.

Responsibilities

  • Drives revenue growth by developing new solutions and expanding use of existing products.
  • Partners with cross functional teams to set the product strategy, priorities, and roadmap.
  • Understands the needs and problems of both Pathward partners and end users.
  • Partners with internal areas to perform market research and discovery.
  • Owns strategic relationships with key third party partners.
  • Manages the entire product life cycle from strategic planning to tactical implementations.
  • Monitors and communicates product performance, key metrics, and relevant partner/user feedback.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and work experience. Master's degree preferred.
  • Typically 12+ years with bachelor's or equivalent.
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills with partners, networks, and regulators.
