AspenTech is looking to optimize the performance of process industry assets across the CAPEX and OPEX cycles and improve operational excellence while achieving sustainability goals for its over 3,000 customers.

Requirements

  • Solid understanding of AI and cloud-based technologies/platforms and modern cloud interfaces
  • Deep understanding of the process industry customer needs related to process engineering, process optimization and engineering support to operations
  • Deep functional understanding of product management systems and methodologies
  • Experience managing and scaling a high performing product management team
  • Strong external communication skills to engage with customers and prospects as part of product planning and support efforts
  • Ability to quickly, conceptually understand how our solutions integrate into a customer’s technology stack, and the ability to monetize for revenue growth
  • Proven ability to analyze reports, dashboards, and other tools to make critical decisions and recommendations to help the company to achieve its goals

Responsibilities

  • Sets the vision and strategy for Performance Engineering suite and its products proactively across the lifecycles with a “hands on” mentality collaborating with R&D, and the field teams
  • Responsible for the agile roadmap for the product life cycle/s (ideation and formation through execution), specifying the positioning, pricing, differentiation, market competition strategy, and definable value and proof points along each product life cycle and as a suite
  • Deeply understands the challenges, needs and desires of the customer solution that is required to maximize value creation and build excellent product experience
  • Provide transformational leadership supporting a growing and evolving solutions-based commercial and sales organization, enabling the organization to successfully beat the competition with differentiated product innovations
  • Hiring, coaching, and retaining top talent and ensuring a best-in-class organization that continuously attracts and retains talent
  • Communicate product vision and prospective road maps to ownership, clients, and team members alike
  • Present at major conferences and events

Other

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, preferred, MBA a plus
  • 10-15+ years of progressive product-centric technology leadership, including a demonstrated record of success in bringing products from early-stage development to market launch
  • Ability to contribute to broader business planning discussions at the executive team level
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to work with conviction and clarity, whether working with the senior executive team, internal organizations, or customers
