Star, a leader in innovative ventless cooking technology and part of the Middleby family of brands, is seeking a Vice President of Product Management to drive sales, compliance, product strategy, innovation, and growth, and to shape the future of the ventless portfolio.
Requirements
- Strong grasp of engineering concepts, sales techniques, and technologies relevant to the product category.
- Fundamental understanding of Engineering principles
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including - Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word
- Ability to prioritize features, manage product roadmaps, cross-functional needs and communications, and define user experiences.
- Data-driven approach to decision making and problem solving.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including engineers, designers, sales and business leaders.
Responsibilities
- Develop a comprehensive product roadmap aligned with business goals, including feature prioritization and timelines.
- Conduct field and market research and competitive analysis to justify product strategy.
- Identify and define user requests, requirements, and needs to clearly articulate to the engineering team and various stakeholders.
- Work closely with engineers to translate product requirements into technical specifications.
- Assess technical feasibility of proposed features and provide and approve input on design decisions.
- Manage project line backlogs and prioritize engineering tasks.
- Remain up to date with new technology, code compliance and industry standards to remain the industry leader in the product category.

- Bachelor's degree in related field or 3 years of experience in an Engineering role
- 5 years of hands-on experience with customers and internal stakeholders
- Self-starter and hands-on approach
- Frequent travel up to 80% required
- Ability to lift up to 30lbs occasionally
