Synaptics is looking to solve the business problem of leading the charge in AI at the Edge and transforming how we engage with intelligent connected devices by hiring a VP, Sales & Field Applications, Americas to lead the Americas sales team and drive revenue and market share growth across all product lines.
Requirements
- Extensive background in AI SoCs and/or Wireless Connectivity Technologies
- Strong industry network with key OEMs and ODMs
- Demonstrated success securing design wins and driving revenue across PC, Mobile, IoT, Automotive and Multimedia markets
- Skilled in developing and executing sales penetration strategies to position solutions into customer platforms
- Highly analytical leader with strong commercial instincts, able to shift seamlessly between strategic vision and operational detail
- Experience with semiconductor industry
- Knowledge of PC, multi-media, wireless, mobile, automotive, and platform solutions
Responsibilities
- Provide executive leadership and accountability for Synaptics’ business in the Americas region, including revenue and market share growth across all product lines
- Define and execute the regional growth strategy in alignment with Synaptics’ global vision, ensuring Americas-based OEMs and ecosystem partners are fully engaged
- Own the long-term design win and revenue strategies, ensuring regional execution is tightly integrated with global planning, product roadmaps, and supply chain priorities
- Build, scale, and inspire a high-performing sales and Field Application Engineering organization; mentor leaders; and ensure succession planning, leadership development, and organizational effectiveness
- Present quarterly and annual business performance updates to the Executive Team, providing thought leadership on risks, opportunities, and competitive dynamics
- Act as a key conduit between the Americas market and Synaptics’ executive team, driving strategic insights, customer needs, and innovation opportunities back into BUs, Marketing and Management
- Position Synaptics as a trusted thought leader within the Americas region, representing the company at key industry forums and with strategic stakeholders

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or related field or equivalent
