The partner company is looking to solve the problem of delivering cutting-edge web and mobile applications with a globally distributed engineering organization, and is seeking a VP of Software Engineering to lead this effort.

Requirements

  • Expertise in modern software engineering practices, cloud-based applications, AI-powered development, and secure, scalable architectures.
  • Proven track record of delivering large-scale software programs through Agile practices with measurable performance improvements.
  • Experience managing complex, in-house and outsourced technology solutions across multiple geographies.
  • Strong analytical, strategic thinker with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to translate vision into actionable plans.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a healthcare or related regulated environment, implementing customer-focused solutions.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in technology leadership, including managing global engineering teams, operations, and vendor partnerships.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute software engineering strategy across web, mobile, and API platforms to ensure scalability, security, and reliability.
  • Lead a global engineering organization of managers, directors, and developers to deliver high-impact products with measurable business value.
  • Drive adoption of modern development practices, including CI/CD, feature flagging, trunk-based development, and automated testing.
  • Integrate AI into software development, including predictive analytics, intelligent data validation, and AI-assisted coding and testing.
  • Oversee full-cycle development of web and mobile applications, ensuring compliance with privacy, security, and regulatory standards.
  • Represent software engineering to executive leadership, clients, and partners, translating technical initiatives into business outcomes.
  • Mentor and develop direct reports, fostering a high-performing, collaborative, and innovative engineering culture.

  • Minimum 15 years of experience in technology leadership, including managing global engineering teams, operations, and vendor partnerships.
  • Strong executive presence with exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
