Requirements
- Proficiency in Python, R, SQL, and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, QlikSense, Tableau)
- Experience with machine learning frameworks and cloud platforms (e.g., Snowflake, AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Knowledge of Six Sigma, FMEA, and other quality improvement methodologies
- Hands-on experience with SAS Base, SAS native language, and Enterprise Guide
- Familiarity with ERP and warranty systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Salesforce)
- Experience with warranty analytics, reliability engineering, or technical service
- Proven expertise in data science, including 2+ years in a leadership role
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of data scientists, analysts, and warranty system owners
- Define and execute a forward-looking data strategy for warranty analytics and reporting
- Build and deploy predictive models to forecast warranty claims, failure rates, and cost trends
- Analyze complex datasets to support root causes of product failures
- Serve as System Administrator for SAS Base and Enterprise Guide, ensuring optimal tool performance
- Develop intuitive dashboards and KPIs to monitor warranty health and product reliability
- Identify and implement automation opportunities to streamline data workflows and improve data integrity
Other
- Bachelors degree in Data Science, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field
- 8+ years of experience in data science, including 2+ years in a leadership role
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- Industry experience in automotive, manufacturing, or consumer electronics
