Requirements

  • Proficiency in Python, R, SQL, and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, QlikSense, Tableau)
  • Experience with machine learning frameworks and cloud platforms (e.g., Snowflake, AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma, FMEA, and other quality improvement methodologies
  • Hands-on experience with SAS Base, SAS native language, and Enterprise Guide
  • Familiarity with ERP and warranty systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Salesforce)
  • Experience with warranty analytics, reliability engineering, or technical service
  • Proven expertise in data science, including 2+ years in a leadership role

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of data scientists, analysts, and warranty system owners
  • Define and execute a forward-looking data strategy for warranty analytics and reporting
  • Build and deploy predictive models to forecast warranty claims, failure rates, and cost trends
  • Analyze complex datasets to support root causes of product failures
  • Serve as System Administrator for SAS Base and Enterprise Guide, ensuring optimal tool performance
  • Develop intuitive dashboards and KPIs to monitor warranty health and product reliability
  • Identify and implement automation opportunities to streamline data workflows and improve data integrity

Other

  • Bachelors degree in Data Science, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field
  • 8+ years of experience in data science, including 2+ years in a leadership role
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
  • Industry experience in automotive, manufacturing, or consumer electronics
