Internal Audit‘s mission is to focus on reducing risk across Alphabet by monitoring the risk environment and providing insights to enable effective risk management
Requirements
- Experience in a software development or equivalent role with a focus on building and deploying AI-first web applications
- Experience developing and deploying applications on GCP such as Cloud Run, CloudSQL, or Bigquery
- Experience in front-end development using Angular and TypeScript
- Experience with Python for back-end development and data manipulation
- Coding skills (e.g., Python, R, or SQL)
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain full-stack web applications that deliver data science-created capabilities to internal auditors and other stakeholders
- Develop and implement solutions for process automation, AI enablement, and comprehensive reporting for existing audit workflows
- Deploy applications on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Write clean, scalable, and well-documented code across the entire stack, primarily using Angular and TypeScript for the front end and Python for the back end
- Partner with data scientists, strategy and operations analysts, and cross-functional teams including Compliance and Enterprise Risk Management to translate audit needs and models into user-friendly tools
Other
- Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Economics, Operations Research, Engineering, or a related quantitative field
- Ability to manage and coordinate multiple project assignments simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment, accepting ownership and accountability of the process and delivering on commitments
- 2 years of experience using analytics to solve product or business problems
