Texas A&M University-San Antonio is seeking a Web Applications Developer III to develop, maintain, and support web applications and functionality for the university.
Requirements
- Knowledge in Content Management Systems (CMS) such as Cascade CMS, WordPress, Drupal, Joomla
- Experience with Cascade Cloud CMS, LAMP Stack, PHP (or similar language), SQL Server (or similar), MS Server 2016/IIS 7
- Experience with JavaScript, AJAX, jQuery, JSON, XML, HTML, CSS, SCSS, API Integrations
- Experience with debugging website on all browsers including Chrome/Android/iOS platforms
- Knowledge of web development stacks such as LAMP stack
- Experience with revision control software
- Knowledge of WCAG 2.2 compliance
Responsibilities
- Develops locally created tools that facilitate the use of the university website
- Provides support and maintenance on new and current applications
- Works with the university content management system to maintain websites and implement new websites/components into CMS
- Fixes accessibility issues using WCAG 2.2 compliance
- Supports digital displays throughout campus
- Ensures all new web functions are accessibility compliant and all web pages/applications are responsive web design
- Maintains current web functionality/applications and corrects arising issues within web functionality/applications as needed
Other
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, or closely related field
- Six (6) years of related experience
- Provides instruction and troubleshooting to faculty, staff, and students
- Performs usability and user-experience testing
