Cape Fear Community College is seeking a marketing-minded front-end developer to fill the position of Web Content Manager. The Web Content Manager will play a key role in maintaining, updating, and enhancing CFCC web and portal presence to ensure an engaging, accessible, and user-friendly experience for students, faculty, staff, and the community.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of web design principles, UX/UI concepts, and responsive design techniques.
- Familiarity with SEO best practices and web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics).
- Strong understanding of ADA compliance requirements.
- Proficient English usage, spelling, grammar, punctuation, and Associated Press (AP) writing style.
- Experience working with WordPress and CRMs.
- Experience using various analytics software.
- Working knowledge of HTML and CSS.
Responsibilities
- Develop, update, and maintain the college website to strengthen the user experience and ensure accuracy, relevance, and accessibility.
- Manage updates and website requests to the cfcc.edu website and my.cfcc.edu portal.
- Implement best practices in web design, user experience (UX), and search engine optimization (SEO) to enhance the effectiveness of the college website.
- Create and optimize multimedia content for online platforms, including images, videos, and interactive elements.
- Monitor website performance and analytics to identify areas for improvement and track key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Ensure compliance with web accessibility standards and regulations, such as WCAG and Section 508.
- Learn the college CRM platform (Element 451) and become a comfortable system user within the College’s web assets.

- As a Community Relations team member, this position requires a combination of technical expertise, creativity, and excellent communication skills.
