The Web Designer is responsible for maintaining corporate website(s), designing and developing new websites, web pages, email blasts, and print and marketing materials, and assisting all levels of management with their interactive and web-related requests.
Requirements
- Knowledge of HTML/XHTML, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript jQuery, Bootstrap
- Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Web Suite (Dreamweaver, XD, etc.)
- Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.)
- Ability to work within multiple CMS environments: Episerver, Shopify, WordPress, etc.
- Knowledge of browser compatibility across multiple platforms and devices
- Knowledge of responsive design, page optimization, HTML email coding, video for web (streaming and non-streaming)
- Familiar with WCAG 2.0 Web Standards
Responsibilities
- Work with different content management systems
- Optimize existing user interface designs
- Conduct layout adjustments based on user feedback
- Produce high-quality UX design solutions through wireframes, visual and graphic designs, and prototypes
- Design UI elements and tools such as navigation menus, search boxes, tabs, and widgets for our digital assets
- API web integration
- Experience working with source control – Git, Beanstalk, etc
Other
- Collaborate with team members in a fast-paced environment
- Work cross-functionally with other departments (Marketing, Human Factors. Product Management, etc.)
- Interface with third-party vendors to ensure that all content hosted/managed by a third-party stays consistent and up-to-date with the company’s internally-hosted content
- Present and defend designs and key deliverables to peers and executive level stakeholders
- Some local travel is necessary, so the ability to operate a motor vehicle and maintain a valid Driver’s license is required.
