Huntress is looking for an engineer to join their Web Development team to oversee all aspects of their customer-facing websites and portals, ensuring they function as designed, are performant, rank for search results, and are optimized for conversion.

Requirements

  • Proficiency with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and web applications and services
  • Experience with headless CMS, such as Builder.io
  • Strong understanding of UI/UX best practices
  • Experience in planning and developing websites across multiple products and organizations
  • Extensive knowledge of web applications, programming languages, and web services — including API, CSS, CSS3, cross-browser compatibility, HTML, HTML5, JavaScript, jQuery, PHP, security principles, REST, SOAP, and web user interface design
  • Proficiency with content management systems
  • Experience in implementing web development workflows and operations using a variety of tools, including GitHub

Responsibilities

  • Create well-designed and tested code using best practices for web development, including responsive design and mobile UX
  • Create websites and interfaces using standard HTML/CSS practices, and incorporate data from back-end databases and services
  • Implements new site features, backend integrations, split tests, and more to grow and optimize our web presence
  • Engaged in the full development lifecycle: designing, developing, testing, deploying, maintaining, monitoring, and improving our websites and portal
  • Scope projects accurately to inform project planning timelines, from asking clarifying questions to remove ambiguity, to proactively identifying risks and alternative solutions
  • Lead engineering implementations from start to finish, keeping team members and stakeholders informed about progress and potential risks
  • Monitor and optimize website performance, including page load times, mobile responsiveness, and overall user experience through tools such as DataDog

Other

  • 5+ years of practical development experience with a heavy emphasis on the technical side
  • Experience with Figma or other prototyping tools is a plus
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to thoughtfully question ideas and other requests
  • Collaborate with stakeholders cross-functionally to determine what the underlying problems and needs are to build the right solution
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and technologies; research and advocate for new technology and new methodologies
