Leidos National Security Sector is seeking a fully cleared Web Developer to support an enterprise IT program, requiring specialized skills in user experience design, user interface design, development, and maintenance of Joomla and WordPress websites to provide quality visualization and publishing services for a community-wide client base.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in Joomla and WordPress site information architecture design, visual design, and site administration.
- Demonstrated experience with end user-focused UX methodologies including conducting focus groups and user testing, building intuitive information architecture, and developing conceptual wireframes and prototypes.
- Demonstrated experience designing and supporting Joomla Extension or Module creation.
- Demonstrated experience designing, developing, implementing, and supporting Joomla websites.
- Demonstrated experience in development of custom Joomla modules and components (e.g. news, login, search, filtering).
- Demonstrated experience in development of custom Joomla plugins to override core functionality (e.g. contact forms, events, appointments).
- Demonstrated experience in Joomla extension development (i.e. components, modules, plugins, and templates).
Responsibilities
- work within a business environment provides quality visualization and publishing services in support of corporate communication requirements for a community–wide client base.
- work independently to maintain systems, workflows and project schedules and collaborate with in-house team members and client subject matter experts (SMEs) to assess requirements and provide creative and robust website experiences that are technically sound and cost recoverable.
- manage task workloads , elicit requirements for website user experience design and development from the community–wide client base, and design user interfaces (UI) and employ industry standard user experience (UX) methodologies to design and develop intuitive user experiences.
- provide properly structured and tested websites that are Section 508 compliant, and apply Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 standards, provide recommendations on multimedia and communication design, content, and features based on the target consumer audience(s); and conduct focus groups and user testing to define requirements.
- document website requirements; develop interactive website conceptual wireframes and prototypes; develop, test, and manage the deployment of new websites; and maintain new and existing websites.
- manage the maintenance of new and existing websites; participate in biweekly team meetings that focus on project status and progression, team member engagement and utilization, and identification and resolution of project inhibitors; and provide regular verbal and written status reports and submit written reports on significant deliverables.
- apply business acumen to provide cost effective solutions, monitor expenditures, and provide production data to contribute to a full cost recovery business model; regularly interface directly with the customers as a creative and technical SME; and be supported by an in-house Infrastructure Team and Project Manager with whom extensive coordination is required.

- Active TS/SCI with Polygraph is required.
- Bachelor’s degree and at least 15+ years of experience
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple web development projects simultaneously.
- Demonstrated experience working closely with graphic, interactive, UX, and UI designers to translate designs into “pixel-perfect” responsive websites, apps, HTML emails, and interactive experiences.
- Demonstrated experience to quickly customize out of the box plugins to meet the User Interface design intent.
