ComResource is seeking an IT Systems Administrator to manage and maintain clients' IT infrastructure, ensuring systems operate smoothly, securely, and efficiently. The role involves implementing new technologies, optimizing system performance and security, and troubleshooting technical issues to minimize downtime.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems, virtualization technologies, and cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure is essential.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team are critical for success in this role.
- Familiarity with security protocols, firewalls, and data protection measures is also required.
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE), Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), or similar credentials are highly desirable.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in systems administration, network management, or related roles.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the organization’s IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and security systems to ensure high availability and optimal performance.
- Implement, configure, and troubleshoot hardware and software components, including operating systems, applications, and network devices.
- Monitor system performance, conduct regular maintenance, and apply updates and patches to ensure security and stability.
- Assist in the planning and execution of IT projects, including system upgrades, migrations, and deployments.
- Respond promptly to technical issues, diagnose problems, and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime.
- Develop and maintain documentation for systems, processes, and procedures to ensure operational consistency and compliance.
- Ensure compliance with security policies and best practices, including data protection and access controls.
