UF Information Technology (UFIT) is seeking an entry-level Web Developer to contribute to the success of the Academic Technology-Web Services team, specifically to build and apply industry standards to design visually appealing web sites and apply web coding standards.
Requirements
- Knowledge of web content management systems such as WordPress Multisite
- Applies Web based technologies
- Knowledge of web accessibility standards and WCAG 2.1
- Front end web development using languages such as JavaScript, CSS, HTML, HTML5, Python or PHP
Responsibilities
- Supporting customers in a web content management system such as TERMINALFOUR or WordPress Multisite
- Collaborating with peers to develop and implementing user driven web accessible templates and interfaces for ease of use
- Front end web development and hands on the development of web applications utilizing languages such as JavaScript, CSS, HTML, HTML5, Python or PHP
- Design and deliver accessible and engaging web interfaces
Other
- A bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization or an associate degree and two years of experience
- Strong customer service skills and self-motivation
- Problem solving skills
- Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position
- A Level 1 Criminal Background Screening is required
