The University of Denver's Information Technology/Enterprise Application Services (IT/EAS) department is seeking a Web Developer II to develop and support the University's web properties, primarily built within enterprise Drupal and WordPress, ensuring they are efficient, effective, and aligned with the university's brand and accessibility standards.
Requirements
- High proficiency and understanding of web development and design.
- Good understanding of content management systems such as Drupal and WordPress.
- Strong knowledge of Drupal 9/10 site building, theming, and module development.
- Familiarity with Drupal APIs: Entity API, Form API, Plugin API, etc.
- Experience managing configuration using Configuration Management (config split, sync, etc.).
- Experience with Drush, Composer, Git, and CI/CD pipelines
- Knowledge of SQL, API, JSON, XML, HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement new features and functionality within the University's web properties built using Drupal.
- Develop wireframes and core site structure using Drupal.
- Install, configure, test, and manage modules and plugins within the enterprise Drupal platform.
- Adjust site parameters as needed.
- Provide high-speed and reliable site assets.
- Partner with web developers to ensure a device-responsive web design.
- Follow secure coding principles to develop secure websites.
Other
- Bachelor's Degree
- Three years or more of experience in Drupal development.
- Five years or more of experience in web development using one or more content management systems.
- Ability to provide technical service and support to diverse campus clients.
- Requires excellent troubleshooting skills.
