The University of Denver is seeking a Web Developer II to develop, maintain, and support the university's web properties, primarily built on enterprise Drupal and WordPress platforms, to enhance educational delivery and administrative efficiency.
Requirements
- Three or more years of professional experience in Drupal development
- Five or more years of web development experience utilizing content management systems such as Drupal and WordPress
- Proficiency in Drupal 9/10 site building, theming, and module development
- Strong understanding of Drupal APIs including Entity API, Form API, and Plugin API
- Experience with development tools such as Drush, Composer, Git, and CI/CD pipelines
- Familiarity with hosting platforms such as Acquia, Pantheon, or custom container environments
- Knowledge of site performance optimization, security best practices, and WCAG accessibility standards
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement new features and functionalities for university web properties built on Drupal and WordPress platforms
- Create wireframes and establish core site structure aligned with university branding and user experience standards
- Install, configure, test, and manage modules and plugins within enterprise Drupal environments
- Adjust site parameters to optimize performance, security, and accessibility
- Collaborate with web specialists and stakeholders to ensure websites are visually appealing, functional, and responsive across devices
- Partner with digital accessibility specialists to ensure compliance with WCAG standards and improve site accessibility
- Follow secure coding practices to develop and maintain secure websites and web applications
Other
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Web Development, or a related field
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders
