The University of Nevada, Reno (UNR) is seeking a Web Developer/Senior Web Developer to translate approved website designs and prototypes into standards-based websites within the University's content management system (CMS), with a focus on back-end programming, and to develop, maintain, optimize, and update the University's website and content management system.

Responsibilities

  • Translating approved website designs and prototypes into standards-based websites within the University of Nevada, Reno's (UNR) content management system (CMS)
  • Proactively managing the CMS and related administration and quality assurance activities
  • Consulting on the integration of other web-based technologies
  • Managing student interns as needed
  • Developing, maintaining, optimizing, and updating the University's website and content management system
  • Collaborating with other teams to research, develop, and implement web governance policies and procedures to ensure the University's website complies with accessibility standards and industry best practices
  • Spearheading the web team's research and development into new features and functionality and planning, implementing, and overseeing major upgrades to the website and content management system

Other

  • Bachelor's Degree and two (2) years of related work experience; OR Master's Degree and one (1) year of related work experience
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage student interns and mentor colleagues
