Wing offers drone delivery as a safe, fast, and sustainable solution for last mile logistics. Consumer appetites for on-demand services are increasing, but current delivery methods are inefficient, costly, and contribute to road accidents and air pollution. Wing’s fleet of highly automated delivery drones can transport small packages directly from businesses to homes on-demand, in minutes. Wing is looking for a Web Software Engineer to join their Commerce Engineering team to build Applications, APIs and tools, enabling Wing drone delivery for businesses.
Requirements
- 0-5 years of experience designing and developing web applications.
- Ability to identify challenging problems and potential solutions with guidance from a mentor, and work toward them with a high degree of independence.
Responsibilities
- Build what's next. You’ll take our newest drone technology out of the lab and turn it into real, functional features that our partners and customers rely on.
- Create interfaces people love to use. The goal is to build user interfaces that are complex under the hood but feel simple and intuitive. You’ll work with the whole engineering team on everything from the front-end design to the backend RPCs and async pipelines that make it all work.
- Own features from concept to launch. You'll be a key player in the entire development process, working with product managers to design and build new features and get them into the world quickly.
- Be a go-to problem solver. When something critical breaks, you’ll be one of the engineers we trust to dig into the code, find the root of the problem, and get things working again.
- Help us build a better team. We believe that a great team is built on support and a drive for quality. You’ll be a part of that by sharing your knowledge, participating in thoughtful code reviews, and helping us improve how we work together as we grow.
