Create and maintain applications that interface with externally provided services (i.e. Qualtrics, Twilio) and support complex survey data collection protocols of academic researchers.

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain web and client/server applications to achieve operational status within agreed-upon time parameters and operating performance.
- Create and maintain applications that interface with externally provided services (i.e. Qualtrics, Twilio) and support complex survey data collection protocols of academic researchers.
- Develop and maintain WordPress-based API endpoints for managing and providing research information, publication references, and staff information to institute websites.
- Develop custom WordPress plug-ins to add API client capabilities and extended functionality to web applications.
- Integrate report generation capabilities for hosted content and usage statistics into new and existing applications, including visualization and presentation content based on the needs of stakeholders.
- Ensure applicable data security and ADA accessibility compliance requirements are met during development and remediate existing applications as necessary.
- Review and evaluate new application development technologies and prepare recommendations based on knowledge of problems and the capabilities of potential approaches.
Other
- Act as a senior consultant for staff with less experience, providing technical advice and consultation on analysis and programming applications.
- Provide project leadership and coordinate efforts between other technical staff and subject matter experts to produce solutions.
- Remote work from home in Michigan permitted up to 80% of week.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science + CSWAE (or similar) application security certification + 4 years of web-based application development experience
