The Oklahoma Insurance Department is looking to solve the problem of managing website content and technical operations, including design, maintenance, security, and user experience, to align with organizational goals.
Requirements

Responsibilities
- Website Maintenance & Updates- Regularly update WordPress core, themes, and plugins to ensure security and stability, and apply security patches and fix bugs.
- Content Management that includes posting and managing content such as public notices, regulatory updates, news, and educational materials. Ensuring all content is accessible, accurate, and up to date.
- Security Monitoring & Compliance- Implement and monitor security tools (work with KRUSH). Ensure the website complies with state and federal standards, such as ADA (Accessibility), Section 508, and cybersecurity protocols (like NIST).
- Backup & Recovery duties to include setting up automated daily backups and test recovery procedures (work with KRUSH). Maintain rollback capabilities in case of data loss or a site crash (work with KRUSH).
- Performance Optimization- Optimize site speed and load time using caching, image compression, and CDN services. Regularly audit for broken links, unused plugins, or slow-loading scripts.
- SEO & Analytics- Implement SEO best practices to ensure content visibility on search engines. Track and analyze web traffic using tools like Google Analytics and Google Search Console.

Other
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, web design, web development, or information assurance, and five years of professional experience.
- Must pass a background check.
- Individuals may be required to pursue NAIC designations as job duties require.
- Must surrender their license and terminate any financial or non-financial affiliation with the entity that is regulated by the department if licensed as a producer/agent, adjuster or is otherwise affiliated with any entity that is regulated by the department.
