The Department of Public Health Sciences seeks a graduate student to develop a website for a research lab/program.
Requirements
- Proficiency with website platforms (e.g., WordPress, Squarespace, Wix, or similar CMS tools) as well as basic front-end coding (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
- Familiarity with research-related website needs (e.g., CVs, publication lists, grant/project pages).
- Strong visual design sense and attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop a professional website for a research lab/program.
- Collaborate with faculty and team members to structure website content (e.g., research highlights, publications, team bios, news/updates).
- Ensure the website is visually engaging, user-friendly, and aligned with research communication needs.
- Implement basic functionality such as responsive design, publication databases, contact forms, and integration with social media or institutional platforms.
- Ensure the site is accessible, secure, and easy to update/maintain over time.
- Train research staff on updating content.
