WGL is seeking a strategic and technically skilled Intermediate Enterprise Architect to join our Digital team within the “Plan” domain. This role is central to shaping enterprise architecture strategy, with a focus on our Utilities businesses. You’ll collaborate with architects, technologists, and business leaders to design scalable, sustainable solutions that align with AltaGas’ architecture principles and governance frameworks.
Requirements
- 5+ years in technical roles supporting large corporate solutions, with 2+ years in architecture or planning.
- Proven ability to design and implement scalable enterprise solutions across domains such as: ERP, GIS, CRM, and master data management
- Proven ability to design and implement scalable enterprise solutions across domains such as: Cloud infrastructure and DevOps
- Proven ability to design and implement scalable enterprise solutions across domains such as: Integration tools, business intelligence, analytics, and data warehousing
- Familiarity with both waterfall and agile delivery methodologies.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the architecture authority for Utilities programs, ensuring alignment with corporate strategy and standards.
- Establish and enforce governance, standards, and best practices across enterprise architecture.
- Provide architectural oversight to project teams and third-party service providers.
- Support strategic planning, road mapping, and enterprise-wide architecture evolution.
- Optimize solution delivery by leveraging existing technology investments.
- Identify and mitigate technical risks to enhance digital resilience.
- Lead the creation and maintenance of architecture documentation.
Other
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience engaging senior business stakeholders and working with third-party vendors.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills.
- Utility industry experience is an asset but not required.
- We offer a competitive salary range of $113,000 - $164,000 per year, commensurate with experience, education, and skills. In addition, we provide a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
