Apple is looking to optimize software design for their latest products, including Apple Watch, AirPods, iPhone, iPad, and Mac, by hiring a Performance Engineer to drive innovation and improve performance
Requirements
- strong understanding in Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Thread, or related protocols
- background or research experience in RF, Digital, and Wireless communications
- experience working with wireless sniffers and protocol analyzers to debug and root cause issues
- experienced with Python for testing, data analysis, and visualization
- knowledge of TCP/IP protocol suite
- experience with power, performance trade-off analysis
- experience working across various layers of Wireless System Architecture
Responsibilities
- work on software design, testing and optimization from early prototypes until productization
- devise performance evaluation methodologies on SW/HW prototypes
- analyze logs, and make recommendations for implementing in software based on trade-off analysis at a system & product level
Other
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience
- MS or PhD
