Apple is looking to build revolutionary networking system software to make a huge impact on the WiFi industry by solving sophisticated problems and delivering superior end-to-end connectivity quality

Requirements

  • strong technical background and hands-on experience in wireless networking, particularly in WiFi protocols (802.11 standards), MAC/PHY layers, and system-level software design
  • proven experience in leading and delivering large-scale software development teams, ideally in embedded-systems and connectivity-related domains
  • proficient understanding of TCP/IP suite of protocols and their intrinsic interaction with WiFi SW stack on end-to-end user experience
  • experience applying AI/ML techniques to deliver better connectivity experience and improve operational efficiency in SW engineering
  • strong understanding of WiFi protocols (802.11 standards), MAC/PHY layers, and system-level software design
  • experience with embedded-systems and connectivity-related domains
  • proficient understanding of TCP/IP suite of protocols

Responsibilities

  • crafting, improving, and maintaining WiFi networking subsystem software across a range of Apple products
  • driving all aspects of work toward delivering superior end-to-end connectivity quality
  • enabling innovation of user experience that enhances daily work and life of millions of users
  • balancing end-to-end customer experience and use case quality, while factoring in product-level constraints including regulatory requirements, power efficiency, and thermal considerations
  • applying AI/ML techniques to deliver better connectivity experience and improve operational efficiency in SW engineering
  • leading and delivering large-scale software development teams, ideally in embedded-systems and connectivity-related domains
  • driving technical strategy and execution, balancing product goals, technical complexity, and cross-functional collaboration

Other

  • Masters Degree is preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
  • excellent communication and leadership skills, with a focus on mentoring, growing talent, and fostering an inclusive, high-performance team culture
  • excellent analytical and problem solving skills with strong execution through ambiguity and meaningful risk/reward analysis
  • ability to work in a collaborative environment and efficiently communicate/coordinate while driving multiple projects across many teams
