Apple is looking to enhance its satellite network to enable connectivity for iPhone and Watch Ultra users when they are off the grid without cellular or Wi-Fi coverage, ensuring they can use critical services like Emergency SOS, Roadside assistance, and Messages via satellite.
Requirements
- Background in DSP and wireless communication systems is required
- Relevant experience includes: existing protocols (e.g. CDMA, OFDM, etc.), physical layer algorithms, medium access control processing, and Software-Defined Radio, hands-on lab work
- Strong C++ and Python programming skills - must be able to produce high-quality, production-ready software components to be used in a globally distributed system
- Sharp analytical skills to measure performance and debug issues across system boundaries and protocol stack layers
- Experience developing large-scale distributed systems
- Experience with GPU programming
- Experience with cryptography and channel coding
