Meta’s Reality Labs Wireless Technology team is driving innovation in wearable wireless capabilities for AR/VR devices. We are seeking PhD-level Research Scientist Interns passionate about applying artificial intelligence and machine learning to wireless technologies.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience with artificial intelligence and machine learning algorithms
- Understanding of wireless technologies (e.g., Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 5G, RF, antenna systems)
- Deep knowledge of AI/ML algorithms, including supervised, unsupervised, and reinforcement learning
- Experience in deep learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras)
- Experience integrating AI/ML models into Over-the-Air (OTA) antenna validation platforms or test automation frameworks
- Familiarity with software and hardware co-design for wireless systems
- Experience designing APIs or middleware for AI-driven test automation
Responsibilities
- Conduct research and analysis on next-generation AR/VR wireless technologies under complex radio and network conditions
- Develop and integrate AI/ML solutions to optimize wireless performance and enhance user experience
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate concepts through analytical studies, simulations, and real-world testing
- Propose new use cases or enhancements for wireless systems and platforms
Other
- Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining a PhD program in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a related field
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective written and verbal communication abilities
- Works independently and collaboratively in a research-driven environment
- Intent to return to degree-program after the completion of the internship/co-op
