Skydio is looking to enhance its autonomous flight technology by improving video streaming, automatic frequency selection, automation of testing, and modeling of wireless propagation and interference for drones.
Requirements
- Proficiency in wireless background and theory
- Very strong C/C++/Python SW capabilities
- How to use Python for scripting
- Familiarity with embedded HW and low level coding
- Familiarity with wireless chipsets firmware, Driver and kernel code
Responsibilities
- Work with the team to enhance adaptive bitrate algorithms for video streaming
- Study wireless parameters and use the statistics to guarantee smooth video in all environments
- Setup test cases and automation to validate the feature
- Work on algorithms that automatically select a frequency for the drone and docked systems
- Characterization of various tools that help in the decision making process
- Develop test automated test frameworks for drones in Python
- Integrate test cases to CI/CD pipelines
