Awesome Motive is seeking a skilled WordPress Developer to build and maintain robust WordPress plugins, enhance existing features, and contribute to the overall architecture of their platform, impacting millions of users by ensuring products are reliable, scalable, and innovative.
Requirements
- Professional experience in WordPress plugin development, architecture, and adherence to coding standards
- Advanced proficiency in PHP and MySQL, including modern PHP practices such as OOP, autoloading, namespaces, traits, and interfaces
- Strong familiarity with JavaScript, including vanilla JS, jQuery, and ES6+ features
- Experience with build tools like Gulp and Webpack
- Knowledge of package managers such as Composer and NPM
- Experience integrating with third-party APIs such as Stripe, Drip, Zapier, etc.
- Proficiency with version control systems, particularly Git and GitHub
Responsibilities
- Triaging and resolving bugs and small enhancements via GitHub
- Scoping, developing, and testing new product features and add-ons
- Refactoring legacy codebases with attention to backward compatibility
- Conducting peer reviews on GitHub pull requests and providing constructive feedback
- Collaborating on both front-end and back-end development tasks
- Participating in planning sessions and contributing to technical discussions
- Documenting code and development processes for future reference
