CEG is seeking a motivated WordPress Developer Intern to support the development team in refining and re-launching multiple WordPress websites, including job boards and digital marketing agency sites.

Requirements

  • Strong familiarity with WordPress installation, theme setup, and customization.
  • Understanding of databases (MySQL preferred) and ability to manage site assets.
  • Experience working with XML feeds and third-party integrations.
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices and website performance optimization.
  • Comfortable working with remote hosting environments (Hostinger a plus).
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

  • Optimize and configure the Jobi Theme on three job board sites: njjobmarket.com, mobilewirelessjobs.com, biotechpharmjobs.com
  • Remove unwanted images from njjobmarket.com, including accessing the database to clear homepage images.
  • Integrate and configure a job feed from Jobg8.com via XML across all three job boards.
  • Install new WordPress themes for two digital marketing agency websites supporting the CliquePrize iPhone app: digitalmedianashville.net, digitalmedianewyork.com
  • Optimize all five WordPress sites for speed, SEO, and scalability.
  • Ensure stable performance on Hostinger.com hosting environment.
  • Attend a 30-minute weekly development team meeting (Tuesdays).

Other

  • Currently enrolled in a college or university program (Computer Science, IT, Web Development, or related field preferred).
  • Commit to 2 hours per day, flexible schedule, no set hours.
  • Attend a 30-minute weekly development team meeting (Tuesdays).
  • Work independently at your own pace, with priority on re-launching job boards first.
  • Ability to earn academic credit (if approved by your institution).
