Hines is looking to solve the problem of effective fund management and investor relations, particularly with German institutional investors, by hiring a Senior Analyst of Fund Management to support the decision-making and management of key investment issues.

Requirements

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Word and Excel.
  • Ability to understand and articulate portfolio management concepts effectively.
  • Demonstrated quantitative skills and relationship building skills.
  • CFA designation preferred.
  • Fluency in German required.
  • A clear understanding of the global real estate market.
  • Advanced knowledge of financial modeling and data analysis

Responsibilities

  • Support select strategic separate accounts, including assisting with the annual meeting process and governance for these specific accounts.
  • Provide guidance on strategic asset management decisions for separate accounts at the direction of and coordination with the Director of Fund Management and with oversight of the relevant SMD of Fund Management.
  • Support the preparation of annual plans for assets for review and feedback from the Director of Fund Management.
  • Drive analyses that inform and ultimately advise how the investors are deploying capital at their discretion while acting as a fiduciary and advocate for investors’ interests, at the direction of both the SMD and Director of Fund Management.
  • Manage relevant reporting deliverables for the separate accounts.
  • Collaborate with and support the Associates working on the separate accounts.
  • Coordinate as relevant with other units within Investment Management (e.g. Finance, Global Investment Strategy, Research, Risk) and within the broader firm (e.g., regional teams) to advance major analyses and/or recommendations for specific vehicles and/or investors.

Other

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, analytics, or quantitative streams; MBA preferred.
  • Two years of related experience (including internships), particularly within Private Equity Real Estate in a Strategy, Portfolio Management, Distribution or Consulting Role.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills required.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Work overtime as business needs deem appropriate.
